DanChurchSocial runs shelters, day and night centres, as well as other services for vulnerable people in Denmark. Here we offer support, help and – not least – someone who cares.
The Danish Refugee Council assists refugees and internally displaced persons across the globe: we provide emergency aid, fight for their rights, and strengthen their opportunity for a brighter future. We work in conflict-affected areas, along the displacement routes, and in the countries where refugees settle. In cooperation with local communities, we strive for responsible and sustainable solutions. We work toward successful integration and – whenever possible – for the fulfillment of the wish to return home.
We help children both in Denmark and in the rest of the world. We save lives, provide aid and prevent disasters. We fight violence, assault and bullying. We ensure schooling, build up communities and strengthening children’s resilience.
The Alzheimer’s union is a membership organization that aims to ensure better conditions for people with dementia and their relatives. We advise, inform and support research into dementia diseases.
We are a union for anyone with an interest in dementia, and our members include both people with dementia, their relatives and experts in the area of dementia.
Members of the Alzheimer’s union share a common opinion, that everyone affected by dementia must have the opportunity live a good and substantial life.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Denmark. In fact, every 9 women get breast cancer. Cancer Control will, with its popular support, expertise and competence gained through research, patient support, prevention work for:
– Fewer people get cancer.
– More survive cancer.
– A better life after cancer.
Because we want a life without cancer.
Make a Wish Foundation
Make-A-Wish Denmark’s purpose clause is to fulfill a wish for children and adolescents between 3 and 18 years old who live in Denmark and suffer from a life-threatening illness.
It is Make-A-Wish Denmark’s vision to ensure the spread of Make-A-Wish in Denmark, so that all Danish children with life-threatening illnesses have the opportunity to have a wish fulfilled.
Make-A-Wish Denmark works in accordance with the following values, which apply to all work and all activities and persons carried out by, or affiliated with, the organization, including employees, volunteers, partners and sponsors:

Støt Soldater & Pårørende
Support Soldiers & Pursuit aims to provide financial support to soldiers who have been injured in service. Right from the young soldier who has just started in the Armed Forces, to the oldest admiral, as well as to colleagues from the home guard who contribute with support for international missions. In addition, the association provides support to the wounded or deceased soldier’s relatives. There are many emotions in play when a family member suddenly injures or dies.
The association also helps wounded soldiers and their families with an economic handshake, for example. in the form of hotel accommodation for the family while the wounded is hospitalized and for supplementary rehabilitation, where the public and the military are unable to pay.
The Children’s Cancer Fund creates better conditions for Danish children and young people with cancer – by funding child cancer research, informing childhood cancer and supporting children and young people with cancer and their families with, inter alia, psychological assistance and recreational stays.

The National Association Against Eating Disorders and Self-Injury’s purpose is to provide hope, support, counseling and information to people who suffer from an eating disorder or self-harm, and to their relatives and other interested parties.
Heart Association is Denmark’s second largest disease-fighting organization with 148,000 members. We work with cardiovascular disease research, cardiovascular disease prevention and patient support. The Heart Association is a private organization that works for funded funds.
